Onboarding & Identity
In mzchat, all new users begin as ephemeral accounts. This allows immediate interaction with the system without a traditional upfront registration process.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”- Onboarding: New users can start chatting immediately without filling out long forms.
- Reminders: The protocol identifies ephemeral users so that clients can display visual reminders to register.
- Registration: Users must eventually “claim” their account through a full registration process to ensure long-term persistence and security.
Federation
Section titled “Federation”Users joining from external servers are considered already registered at their home instance and are not treated as ephemeral.
